Teaching is my passion, and imparting knowledge to children is a privilege. This week’s OJT will be the second batch of student teachers to demonstrate, and I’m one of the student teachers to demo. It was a great privilege to teach students and impart knowledge to them, giving my best efforts for them to learn. I was so happy and thankful that they participated well in class, and my heart was amazed that they learned something from me. It was a great experience. Though it was a little nerve-racking, I feel relieved and ready for the deployment. I was also thankful to our cooperating teacher for guiding us through this journey from day 1 to the last day of our observation, teaching us what is right and wrong, and helping us with our school-related needs. We didn’t have any problems with her because she was a very approachable and one-of-a-kind cooperating teacher. This week’s observation also taught me different strategies and techniques from my co-student teachers that could help with my future reference. Teaching is not easy. You need to plan your lesson plans, you need to study your lessons, and give your best for your students to listen to and learn. And I can say that I did well in my demonstration. With regards also to my co-student teachers, they also did a great job on their demonstration. Everyone was so glad that we had done it well, with the help of our cooperating teacher. Much learning and knowledge were imparted. We learned from our students, and they also learned from us. As a future teacher, these learnings that were imparted to me will be my guide and reference for me to become a better teacher in the future. I will treasure all the experiences that have been given to me by my co-student teachers, my students, and the most generous person, our cooperating teacher, Ms. Ana Mae Nebla.
