In week 4 of our on-the-job training, there are six student teachers assigned to teach the students of our cooperating teacher, and the remaining four student teachers will be on duty next week, which means the remaining student-teacher is me. All are busy practicing for their demonstration, and the majority are nervous about failing, but we have strong faith that this will be successful. On day two of this week’s observation, we have Teacher Novy and Teacher Jay-Ann as the teachers of the day. Their demonstration was great, the way they delivered their lesson went well, and the students were actively participating and at the same time enjoying the discussion. The teachers' strategies include giving rewards to students who can answer or who will participate in work. The teachers' confidence was there, and I can say they are ready for deployment. On our 3rd day, we have Teacher Erra and Teacher Jaira as the teachers of the day. During their demonstration, there were circumstances that no one ever wanted. Teacher Jaira’s laptop shut down, and she’s the one sharing the screen for their presentation, while Teacher Erra’s laptop went strange with garbled images on the screen, but they found ways to continue the demonstration and everything went well. There are circumstances in which we don’t know when and where it will happen, but everything will be alright because there are no circumstances that cannot be solved. Everything happens for a reason. Still, their demonstration was great, and they delivered the lesson well. On day 4, Teacher Thelia and Teacher Leah are the teachers of the day. The same as on our 3rd day, some circumstances also happened. While Teacher Thelia was discussing her part, Teacher Leah got out of the meeting because of the internet connection and had trouble accessing the zoom. Only 100 participants are joining the meeting, and it’s full, so Teacher Leah can't enter the meeting. So what did we do? We left the meeting and let Teacher Leah enter. We sacrifice ourselves for Teacher Leah and prioritize her so that she can discuss her part. Even though we didn’t see the whole discussion, we know that they gave their best to make their discussion great. This week’s realization/lesson is about unity. If you had them in your worst, then you should also be there when they have their worst. Helping each other in times of need. You have no one else but them.
