Week two of my teaching internship is about observing, conducting action research, and making my lesson plan and printed material. On the first day of my second week, in the a.m., we have a group meeting with our research groups before we attend the Zoom class of Grade 1, which takes 2 hours a day. While we are observing in the Grade 1 class, we are also assisting the teacher since they have their examination that day. In the afternoon, we have Student Interns Orientation (VFES). The speakers talk about different activities and topics for us student interns to be aware. They also discussed the rules and regulations of their class and our schedules. On the second day of week two, we have the online orientation with our cooperating teacher and the giving of topics and plans for our online demonstration. During the second, third, fourth, and fifth sessions of our week two observation, we are assisting our cooperating teacher, and at those plans, we also have their examinations. I have observed that the teacher knows how to manage her students, and the students also cooperate well with their teacher. In the last minutes of the examination, students finished their exams. However, there was one student that caught our attention. He began to tantrum because of the fried chicken. I can see how the teacher manages herself toward her students as well as the parents of the students. As a future teacher, I am amazed by the teacher’s perseverance to teach her students and also the way she handled them. You can say that she’s an effective teacher because of her students, the learning they get from her, and the attitudes of her students towards her and their classmates. The second week of my teaching internship revolved around observing, doing our research, and other course-related activities. As a future teacher and preservice teacher, I now have the confidence to face the next phase of learning, which is the internship, or OJT. I know that this crucial part of my student life will help me to do well. This observation week gave me some ideas and tips on what a teacher will do. I am now a step closer to my dream s.
