Calendar Events

District IV and its affiliated organizations have a lot going on!  From social and educational events to organizational meetings, you are encouraged  as a member to take part in them.  If you are not a member, see the Member Clubs page to join!

Regular District IV events are as follows:  

• District IV has an annual Gardenfest, usually in November.  

  • District IV GardenFest will be at University of Florida IFAS Extension at Duval County .  The date is November 3.  Master Gardeners are invited to attend and may be eligible to earn CEUs; confirm this with your Extension Agent in advance.  Use the registration form to sign up.   • GardenFest Planning.  All garden clubs are asked to participate in the effort to make GardenFest a success.  The initial planning meeting is September 22   from 10-12 held at the auditorium of the Duval County Extension facility (1010 N McDuff Ave, Jacksonville). We will map out logistics, assign specific responsibilities and finalize planning details. Please identify and ensure your Club is represented with 1-2 (or more) helpers at this session.  RSVP to Steven Davies by Aug 22. 

• Two District meetings are held each year, one in October and one in May or April.  

  • Fall 2023 District meeting is October 24.  The host garden club is Ribault Garden Club of Jacksonville Beach. 

  • The Spring 2024 District IV Meeting is May 17. 9AM-2PM. Ravine Gardens State Park.  

National Garden Club courses sponsored by District IV are regularly scheduled.  They cover areas such as gardening, landscaping, environmental awareness, and floral arranging or judging.  In addition to District IV-sponsored courses, all NGC courses in the Environmental, Flower Show, Landscape, and Gardening Schools are referenced at our Calendar Schools page on this website.   District IV members are encouraged to take any course of interest to them unless otherwise stipulated.  Courses within a particular school may be taken in any order.

Florida Federation of Garden Clubs hosts events and courses state-wide.  They are are referenced at our Calendar Schools page on this website.

• Each member club/circle maintains its own complete calendar of regular and special events for its program year.  See the Member Clubs page for a list of clubs' contact information, including their websites and Facebook pages, to enable you can find out what other events they have scheduled.

• Club events that appeal to broader audiences are also posted on our District IV Special Club Events.   Share the fun at another club!
