Important Information About Awards and Grants 

Awards and Grant requirements have been updated for the new program year. See the section titled, "Applying for Awards, Grants, and Scholarships," below the list of past awards.  This section will show you where to find the new information at the FFGC, Deep South, and NGC sites.

Applying for Awards, Grants, and Scholarships

• National Garden Club - Plant America Community Project Grants Overview 2024  Note that the forms necessary to apply for the grant are at the NGC Forms Library.  A new requirement is proof of non-profit status by obtaining an IRS EIN number.  That page has additional information you may find useful.  An organization with an EIN number has annual filing requirements to keep the number active.  The state of Florida requires your organization to file with SunBiz as a non-profit organization.  You will need to annually file financial statements indicating your income and expenses with the Florida Department of Agriculture and  Consumer Affairs. Awards

FFGC has new procedures and award descriptions, as well as a new FFGC Awards Chair, Sandra Arnold,  FL2024Awards@gmail.com.   District IV has a set  of Awards Chairmen for adult and youth awards.  See the District's Leadership page for their information. 

Grants

 District IV offers a Habitat for Humanity grant of $100.  Contact the Habitat for Humanity Chairman for details.

Scholarships/Youth 

FGC provides High School and College Scholarships.  The District has a Scholarship Chairman to assist our local students with the application process.  See the District Leadership page .

District IV has financial assistance for youth experiences such as camping at Wekiva or attending SEEK.  See the District Leadership page for the Wekiva Chairman.
