Wipeout Wheel

Wipeout Wheel

Around 60 feet tall, the Wipeout Wheel stands as a symbol of fun and amusement on the Pacific Pier. The wheel is white with covered, multicolor gondolas that guests sit in, in the center of the wheel is a cartoon of a teen surfing on the waves. At night the LEDs on the Wipeout Wheel brighten up the pier in a variety of colors. After a short outdoor queue, guests board each of the buckets patterned after bright, bold primary colors which are all named after popular bands from the 60’s (Beatles, Beach Boys, Herman’s Hermits, etc.). Unlike the Sun Wheel at Disney’s California Adventure, all the gondolas swing!

From the top you get a good view of the bay, the cliffs with motorcycles zooming across, and the beach filled with tourists.
