Summary
Opening in 2008 this Vekoma Motorbike coaster is themed to the films starring motorcycle gangs known as the greasers. This coaster guarantees excitement with a 55 mile per hour launch out of the city streets and onto the coastal roads of California in a race to determine if guests have what it takes to be greasers.

Ride Experience
Facade
The attraction is found in a mechanic shop slash garage. This garage however has seen better days, significant portions of its walls are covered in graffiti (all intentional placed by Imagineering) Included in the graffiti are references to Disney Studio Park’s past like Catastrophe Canyon and Residential Street.
Queue
After entering thru the front door of the mechanic shop. On popular days guests almost immediately diverted back outside into a queue area under a cover. In this area guests weave back and forth in a cattle pen setup. Guests then return inside right about where they exited. Inside the mechanic shop broken down 1950-60’s cars and motorcycles can be found alongside a whole array of tools. Hydraulic fluid and oil stains can be found all over the floor. Along the walls are recruitment posters for games of chance. After weaving through this space guests arrive at the fastpass merge point. Throughout the entire queue 1950's and 60's rock music can be hear faintly in the background. At this point guests are lead into garage A or B for the recruitment/preshow.
Pre-Show
Guests enter the garage to find a juiced up hot rod in the shop. After all guests enter the garage a greaser working in the shop comes over and introduces himself.
“Hey, I’m Rob. I am kind the head guy around here and I hear you’d like to join us. Thing is to get into our little group you need to prove yourselves.”
Just then Rob leans on a mechanic cart and knocks it into the hot rod scrapping of its fresh coat of paint.
Rob-“Oh this is heavy man. I’m outta here.”
Rob bolts out of the room as a new figure walks in from the opposite side.
“My car! What have you done to my car! Do you know who I am?”
Pause for guest response.
“I’m Michael Richman, the leader of the SOCs! You guys messed up so bad.”
Just then a Cast member asks Michael if we can have a chance to redeem ourselves.
Michael- “I’ll be nice. You have one chance to prove yourselves. Race you vs. me. If you win I’ll let you go no problem, but if you lose you’re in for a world of hurt. You better be there.”
Michael walks out of the garage and the preshow ends.
Boarding
Leaving the preshow garages, guests find themselves in an alley. Rob speaks to us over a radio.
Rob- “Heard you guys got in a little trouble with the SOCs, I feel partially responsible you I have hooked you up with some sweet rides they’re waiting in the alley for you. Good luck.”
Guests then proceed to board their motorcycles and get locked in.
Ride
The motorcycles depart the boarding area and proceed down the alley until turning onto the street. On the sidewalks either side of the vehicle are Greasers and SOCs ready to cheer their side on. The Motorcycles pull up side wheel to wheel with Michael’s hot rod. After a countdown guests launch 55 miles per hour out of the show building and fly through many drops twists and turns heading under tunnels and past seaside cliffs. The vehicles then re-enter the building just to witness Michael’s car crashed into a fire hydrant which is now spewing water everywhere. The motorcycles fly past the finish line and hit the brakes. As the motorcycles slowly head towards unload Rob talks to us through the radio again.
Rob- "Well down you’ve definitely proved yourselves consider yourselves honorary Greasers."
The bikes then reach unload and guests exit back onto the streets.
