1. Anna Fried born on 5 September 1851. See GenTeam
2. Anna Fried married Leopold Kohn on 6 May 1875 in Tempelgasse. See Geni. His funeral notice lists his wife as Anna Nolston geb. Fried.
3. Leopold Kohn aka LK Nolston was born 14 Nov 1847 in Mikulov. See Gabriele Mauthe et al (2011) Handbuch österreichischer Autorinnen und Autoren jüdischer Herkunft
4. In 1886 there were twenty one Leopold Kohns listed in Lehmann's address book. It seems likely that our Leopold was the one listed living at Leopoldsgasse 24 where we know other members of the family lived.
5. Emilie Nolston was born 10 June 1877 (FamilySearch) and was three years younger than her cousin Hugo Flesch.
6. Leopold’s occupation was described as Gesch.Resiender (travelling salesman) in Lehmann's
7. In 1889 several issues of The Graphic credit Leopold for sending them the illustrations. I only found these by chance searching Google Books for “Leopoldsgasse 24”. As we know that Anna married a Leopold Kohn it would be improbable that another person of the same name lived at the same address as the rest of the family. One of the articles mentions that he worked for the Neue Freie Presse which also tallies with other information we know. See The Graphic 20 Oct 1889 p505, 2 Nov 1889 p542 and 15 Oct 1889 p.451
8. Leopold Nolston listed as joined Concordia 17 April 1895. Born 18 Nov 1847. Died 4 March 1905. Julius Stern (1909) Journalisten- und Schriftsteller-Verein "Concordia" : 1859-1909 : eine Festschrift. Partially available Google Books.
9. Karl Kraus explicitly states that LK Nolston is the pen name of Leopold Kohn (Die Fackel 24 Nov 1899 p14). This is also stated in See Gabriele Mauthe et al (2011) Handbuch österreichischer Autorinnen und Autoren jüdischer Herkunft

15. Leopold again probably writes the articles about the honours he gets. Neues Wiener Tagblatt 20 Aug 1899 and Neue Freie Presse 13 July 1900. These are repeated in the funeral notice Neues Wiener Tagblatt 7 March 1905
16. Karl Kraus attacks Leopold for receiving award, Die Fackel #29 Jan 1900
17. Karl Kraus attacks Leopold for his role in Concordia, Die Fackel #24 Nov 1899

19. Anna visits Baden. Cur- und Fremden-Liste des Curortes Baden bei Wien 8 May 1905
20. We can only guess where Anna was living. It seems likely that she moved in with her daughter. In 1909 and 1911 she visited Aussee with Emilie & Rudolf.
21. The legal case was published in Czernowitzer Allgemeine Zeitung 17 Aug 1912. This may not be our Anna Nolston but it is a very rare name so it seems probable. Her maid was probably from the Bukovina region given the local interest in the case.
22. We only have details of Anna’s death on GenTeam. No funeral notice was published.
