Some websites require your images to be formatted so you can upload them. Two things can happen if they are not formatted before uploading them. One, is pretty obvious, the site will not allow you to uploadthe files. Two, the images will upload but not display properly.
documentation
Taking good photos of your work is essential. We have several places set up around the studios for you to do just that. During the year, I will require you to upload files to the AP site. LiveCollage and Apps like it will help show your work efficiently.
The above link shows each slide from all the portfolios Baylor submitted last year.
This guide shows how to prepare and upload your work to the AP site.
Be deliberate when taking photos of your work.
Use good lighting
Use a solid color non-reflective background and table top or wall.
Edit your photos
Crop your images so the edges of your object are not touching the edge of the picture frame.
If you object is an image or painting on a rectangular support make sure the edges of the work is paralell with the edge of the digital image frame.
Adjust lighting so that your work looks as good as possible but not unreal.
Remove dust specs or imprefections either with software on your device or retake the photo.
Keep large "un-formatted" versions of your work so you can uplaod the largest possible version to the site.
Name your files!
