Make your own personalized Fidget Spinner and bedside Night Light. Utilize our 3D printers after learning the OnShape CAD modeling program. This will also assist you in Laser cutting the acrylic insert for the light. Let's not forget the Design Lab tooling for manufacturing the base and soldering the wiring to make it all work :)
This challenge has four main parts that ALL need to be complete over the next 9 weeks
Look through the slides to see exactly what strands need to be addressed
YOU CHOOSE WHAT ORDER TO ACHIEVE THESE OBJECTIVES!!
PLAN YOUR TIME!!!!
Here we will be looking at building a simple Gantt chart.
This will help us (you) keep track of your time and develop time management skills
You may ask the following questions to assist in writing a ‘Problem Statement’.
Research and analyze 3 minimum (range) existing products for BOTH fidget spinner AND the acrylic piece of the night light
Now that you have completed your research, let's make sure you are on the right track to create a successful product or solution.
Concept sketching is an integral part of the design process. Based on your design specifications and the opportunities you identified during your SWOT analysis of existing products, begin to sketch out a min of 3 to 4 different ideas.
Now that you have completed your design, reflect on your progress with this self assessment.

Subjective testing (Qualitative data) involves finding out what people think
You must use these two testing methods.
Given a bit more time, what changes would you do with your product?
You can suggest these improvements in many forms, including:
Identify the weaknesses of your design, and describe how you can improve them given more time.
