As we begin this unit, let's look at a way of charting our progress that might be useful to plan your time. Copy this Gantt chart and look through some of the stages that we would have to complete before finalizing an website

Think along the lines of; what is someones digital footprint, how can they direct people to an alternative view of themselves, how can a portfolio of a person help them.

Now that you know what problem you would like to solve, it's time to think about research. Here are some examples of questions you might want to consider in your inquiry and how they can be prioritized and categorized into primary and secondary research.

Now that you have completed your research, let's make sure you are on the right track to create a successful product or solution.
What design specifications will make your end product or solution successful? Write your ideas down in the imperative form (i.e. it must do..., it has to include…).
Here are some specific ideas for Specifications you may like:
Wire framing is an integral part of the design process when making an app. Based on your idea, create a working flow of how you think your app will work using any of the tools outlined here or alternatively sketch your ideas in a similar layout:
Share the wire-frame ideas with your peers, family or teachers to determine how effectively others think that these site ideas meet the design specifications you have developed.

While you are creating your site, you must document the process that you have gone through to demonstrate the technical skills you are learning. This can later serve as a road-map to create similar products or solutions.

Present your final design (site) and document whether or not you met your key dates or had to change your ideas from the wire-framing concepts. This can also be a few screenshots and a link to your final portfolio site.
Now that you have completed your product or solution, help out a peer in reviewing their work. Use the template provided to give them constructive feedback.
