Thin tendrils of skin, like catfish barbels, extend from the dergon's face.
Whisker may appear randomly in breeding, or may be passed down from a parent which has it. You may freely draw custom lines for it, and please check the bottom of the page for pointers and ranges!
The base layer of Whisker should match the chosen base color of your dergon, or markings which overlap the area it starts at.
Whiskers which appear behind your dergon can appear somewhat transparent to give a visual effect of distance.
Markings can appear on Whisker, especially where they overlap.
When drawing your own Whisker, keep in mind these are just thin strips of flesh! You may want to use a colored line instead of lineart on either side; as long as they're distinct from any part of the design they overlap, this will be acceptable!
Whiskers may also be shorter and stouter, like the chin adornments of mossy leaf-tailed geckos. Whiskers may have small tufts or bulbs along the length, resembling feathers on birds of paradise. If it's present alongside Feathered or Avian, it may be made of feathers, being distinctly feathered along its length or having a small feathered tuft or ornament on the end.
Whisker's maximum length is approximately the length of a dergon's body after their head, not counting hindwings.
At minimum, Whisker should add two small whiskers approximately as long as the head is tall.
When paired with Feathered or Avian, Whisker may cause feathers in the Extended range to become long, whiskery feathers. It may cause a maximum of eight extra feather whiskers this way.
