Long tendrils of membrane trail off of wings or fins, like tails on butterfly wings.
Pennant may appear randomly in breeding, or may be passed down from a parent which has it. You may freely draw custom lines for it, and please check the bottom of the page for pointers and ranges!
The base layer of Pennant should match the chosen base color of your dergon, or the color of Wingsails, if on the wings or fins.
Markings can appear on Pennant, especially where they overlap. Pennant's Extra layer may be ignored or may be any Natural or Base family color.
When drawing your own Pennant, you may make them about half as thin or twice as thick as the official lines. You may add up to three pennants to each 'section' of the trailing edge of the wing (space between fingers) or individual fins, with a minimum of one pennant.
They may have curved shapes, may twist or curl, and may appear in front of other wings. Pennant may have a varied edge, with a rough or wavy shape.
Pennant may cover the wing claws! The keratin does not have to show in this case.
Pennant's maximum length is about 2.5x the width from the dergon's wing elbow to the outer edge of their wing membrane. Pennants may originate from the Maximum range, with lineart edits visible in the Extended range.
When paired with Feathered or Avian, Pennant may express on feathers in the Extended range instead of or alongside its membrane form. If taking this option, you may add three extra pennants to the total.
