Variegation causes patches of pigment loss across the dergon. While it’s generally present at minimum on the face or extremities, Variegation can spread across most of the dergon. It should generally take inspiration from vitiligo in animals or variegation in plants.
Variegation shows up above the entire design, like a White marking. It must use the White slider, and can have thick bands or patches of partially-opaque white, showing the design below. At least 10% of the dergon must be showing the original design, but a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 75% may be completely covered in solid white. Variegation should show at least a small amount of low opacity white. Multiple lower opacities in Variegation are allowed.
May have spots, streaks, patches, ticking, and small holes.
If Variegation passes over the eye, the dergon should show a light blue, light yellow/gold, pink, or white color where it covers. This may cause partial heterochromia.
Variegation layers over the entire design, including modifiers, but NOT including Nuance when used like a shadow. Nuance over Variegation should be a shade of the Variegation color, and cannot be darker than the Off-White slider.
