Tar creates irregular black markings over the entire dergon, covering almost all other pigment. Tar can be several patches, or a large swath of coverage with small holes to show the rest of the design. Tar can show a slight blue to purple ‘shine’ over its area.
Layering Rules
Black gene: Layers over most markings, except other White, Black, and Dilution genes
Can be any color from the Black slider. In Hom form, may have a gradient from the Off-Black slider. May show mainly blue or purple shine, but hints of rainbow iridescence may show as well.

Tar should cover at least 10% of the dergon, or enough to be noticeable, and can cover up to 90% of the dergon.
Tar can merge with Sooty, causing a slight iridescence over Sooty’s range. The light spots of Sooty may layer over Tar.
Tar may cause iridescence in other black or off-black genes present on the dergon.
