Skink creates horizontal lines spanning the entire length of the dergon. These should run mainly horizontally with respect to the spine, but may become vertical on the wing. The stripes may be smooth and unbroken, or taper out in places. These stripes may also form rounded, broken ends, with smaller dots in between longer strands.
Skink may also have a gradient from front to back, across the whole marking or across individual stripes. In Hom form, Skink's second color may appear in a layer of smaller stripes on top of the main layer. In Super form, both colors may have an additional gradient.
Layering Rules
Can freely layer under & over markings, except White, Black, and Dilution genes
Hard, Textured, Minimally Soft
Marking Break, Small Spots
Skink may form ‘plus’ shapes when present with Stripes, with both sets of stripes merging into each other with smoother intersections. It may also have a second ‘layered’ color within both markings. This second layer should match the second color of Hom form, if present!
