Gecko creates large, rosette-like barring on the upper part of the dergon, consisting of an irregular, broken outer edge and a solid or slightly cloudy inner patch. Gecko can cause banding, especially on the neck and wing, but most of the marking should not wrap fully around the dergon.

Gecko should cover at least 10% of the dergon, or enough to be noticeable, and can cover up to 60% of the dergon.
The inner color can darken or lighten any markings or base appearing beneath it.
