Flight creates a solid color on the dergon’s wing and crest membranes, which makes them a much different color than free markings allow. This functions somewhat like a second base color, in that markings may change color over them, and markings which are lighter or darker shades of a base can take Flight’s color when passing over it.
Layering Rules
Layers under all other markings
In Het. form, Flight may use any color in the dergon's base specific color family slider. (E.g. a Rain dergon's Flight may pull from the Blue family slider.)
In Hom, can use any natural or Vibrant base slider color. In Super, can be any color.
Flight should match the Wing membranes, but can have a hard, soft, or gradient edge
Flight may Fade out or Wash out where it reaches the wing arm, wing fingers, and body.
This marking must cover at least 90% of the wing membrane layer. A gradient into the main base color, or close to it, is allowed.
Markings which are a shade of the base color may change color when passing over Flight. This can give markings which are usually one color a different hue! Flight may also affect Body Types and Variations which add fins or membranes to the dergon, such as Crested and Finned. If the Variation extends the existing wing membrane, Flight must affect it; if it’s entirely separate, it may fall within the range of the normal Wingsails free marking.
Cloud may restrict to Flight.
