Wave creates a layering of hues lighter than the base, and darker than the base, from the trailing edge of the wing inward. They should be somewhat irregular, and layer dark-light-dark-light; however, the edge can start with either color.
Layering Rules
Can freely layer under & over markings, except White, Black, and Dilution genes
Can use one off-white slider color and one off-black slider color. In hom form, it may use two natural or base slider colors, one darker than the base and one lighter than the base.
Soft, Cloudy, Textured, Diffuse
Fade out, Wash out
No marking break
Wave may use the Maximum range in Het. form, or the Extended range in Hom. or Super form. Wave may optionally extend onto Body Types and Variations which add fins or membranes to the dergon, such as Crested and Finned.
When Sable and Countershade are also present, Wave can use the colors chosen for these two markings, instead of purely darker or lighter than the base.
