Affects the edge of a marking, causing numerous spots and holes.
Layering Rules
Matches the layering rules of the marking it affects. May affect any hard to soft edged marking.
Stippled matches the color of the marking it affects. If that marking may have multiple colors, Stippled should take the extra colors used as well.
Mottled, Puzzled, Diffuse
Stippled may break a marking up into slightly larger pieces, as well as causing spots and holes.
In Hom. form, it may cause spots and holes in markings it isn't affecting directly!
Must affect at least 50% of one marking. Stippled may affect up to 90% of a marking, breaking it into mottled sections and causing multiple breaks. In Hom. form, Stippled may affect up to three markings this way, and may cause extra holes and spots in other markings, including those which do not usually have the holes/spots allowances.
Stippled may cause a marking to have a wavy edge, with occasional holes and spots, instead of intense mottling.
