I made it safely to Germany on Thursday morning. United lost one of my bags, but I got it before the ship embarked. I spent 3 days in Hamburg, Germany before setting sail. I went to their art museum and it was amazing. They have a huge collection so I was there for pretty much a whole day. I spent time exploring the city and meeting up with other people from Semester at Sea. I'm so glad that Germans understand that my blank stares just mean that I'm American and don't speak any German.

I embarked on the ship on Sunday morning, and it has been crazy ever since. We have had pretty much constant meetings and orientation sessions. It has been amazing so far! Today was the first official day of classes so I'm struggling to get into the swing of school. We are currently passing through the English Channel. Yesterday we could see the Cliffs of Dover (England) on one side of the ship and France was on the other which was pretty cool.
