The best day that I had while in Scotland was a long one! My family did a tour of the highlands and loch ness all in one day. We left early from Edinburgh and drove into the countryside. We made many stops along the way to soak up the gorgeous views.

We eventually made our way to a small pub in what I can only imagine is the smallest town I have ever been to. We enjoyed fish and chips over a pint. We continued our journey and soaked up the stunning views of the highlands.

After a few hours we finally made it to loch ness. The lake is located on a tiny town and features the canal system that connects the lake to the ocean. Unluckily, we did not see the loch ness monster aka "Nessie" but we did get to experience the beauty and mystery of loch ness!

It was such a long day but so worth it! We were able to see the natural beauty of Scotland that you can't experience in the city.
