Ms. DeSanto was a great math teacher that I had the pleasure of having in High School. She taught me Honors Algebra II, but she also taught other levels and maths, given that I went to a small school in Bethlehem, PA. One reason that I admire and look up to Ms. DeSanto, in particular, for this section is because she executed a difficult math class during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although we did not have in person class, she still tried her best to operate the classroom in the most "normal" way possible. We still continued to have written exams, essential projects and homework assignments, and she took the time out of her day to speak with students one-on-one to ensure that we understood the material we were given. All students have different home environments, and this was something really big that educators needed to consider during the peak of Covid. Especially considering that students were learning completely online. Ms. DeSanto did an amazing job at keeping this in consideration and ensuring that every student was still getting a proper mathematic education, no matter who they were or what they had been going through during that time.Â
