As I continue my professional development, I am continuously reminded that communication serves as the foundation to the work and progress of any team and/or individual. After several experiences, I strongly believe that honesty and integrity are qualities that must serve as the underlying principles of any relationship. After these qualities become mutually understood, an efficient and productive working environment can be established. With this said, the MLPD program provides its candidates with an abundance of knowledge that can become difficult to organize, understand, and communicate to others. The program equips its candidates with the necessary tools to summarize and communicate their ideas and visions through a range of media. For example, a land developer must be able to understand, summarize, and communicate the findings of long and detailed documents, including, but not limited to, market, geotechnical, and accessibility reports. As I progress through the early stages of my career, I am constantly reminded of the importance of maintaining and improving upon one's communication skills in order to maintain an effective work environment.
