Every MLPD candidate is required to take FINC 676 - Real Estate Law, which is conducted through the Socratic method of teaching. The course covers the following topics:

Immediately following this course, I applied my newly gained knowledge to the practical world of real estate through my summer internship. In 2017, purchase and sales agreements, as well as partnership agreements, were documents that I helped other interns interpret and summarize for all of the company's projects. This task was very similar to my first project assignment in Real Estate Law, which is displayed below. For this project, three other classmates and I were tasked with creating an entity structure that would serve and protect the interests of each stakeholder in the acquisition of an apartment complex.
