Depending on which Subivision you're part of, you will spawn in different areas of the base. Other friendly faction members will also spawn next to you or nearby you, so make sure to avoid firing your gun unnecessarily (especially if you carry a Rocket Launcher). You may also spawn inside Capture Points controlled by your faction if you have a friendly Squad member inside it and all the Capture Points leading up to that one are also fully controlled. You will know that you can spawn inside a Capture Point if it's green.Â
The Resource Terminal allows for players to deposit Command Resources and similar objectives, as well as allows Technicians, Engineers, KILO, FOXTROT and GRID to deploy vehicles/aircraft by spending resource points. COs can also spend resources on Upgrades, which can be completed and finished for buffs. These upgrades are restarted weekly.
The debrief area has rails to more easily divide soldiers into separate lines. The stage section is for COs only, so other soldiers should not stand on it without permission. The DB area is also a popular meeting point for grouping up people before tryouts. You may also use the Debrief area to group up for other events. Make sure read the Debriefs page to learn more.
If players want to join a different Subdivision, they must attend tryouts. Tryouts are given by COs, where attendees are evaluated on many different aspects. If they succeed in passing Tryouts for a Subdivision, they will be able to join it. Each Subivision has its own requirements that players must meet to attend their Tryouts. During Tryouts, players may have to compete against other attendees, so it's important that everyone comes in prepared! If players fail Tryouts, they can always try again next time they happen. Answers to tryout questions aren't usually given out, so learn from your mistakes and try to find the answers on your own. Some Subivisions offer Private Tryouts, which require players to privately message a CO in order to setup a time for their Tryouts. They may also have to fill in forms or other types of documents to join Private Tryouts.
The cells are usually located in a safe place inside either factions base (check the map for the exact location). This area is restricted to Leadership/Overlook and MP/NPU members to avoid any escape attempts. The MP/JURY will bring any member who has been causing issues to the cells to interrogate them. Once they have a report, they will share it with other MP/JURY members and the COs of the prisoner. The prisoner will be released afterwards, if no further punishment is needed.
Besides being holding cells for troublemakers, the cells are also used to hold captured enemies. Captured units will be interrogated by the MP/JURY for valuable information regarding the Combine and/or any other relevant topic. Unless you are willing to assist with the questioning, you should not get in the way of the MP/JURY and either defend the cells' entrance(s) or simply leave the area.
While others may be in combat, you may find yourself sick of all the fighting and wishing to simply calm down a bit. This is where In-Base Activities come into play, an activity can take many forms, whether it be playing a chess match, sitting down to watch a media player, fishing, or even just talking between players. Activities are a great way to cool yourself down a bit and bring a new angle to gameplay to keep yourself interested in the server and to help build relationships with your fellow players. Feel free to ask a GM to place down something like a chess board or media player (by starting a message with @) to get yourself started, if none are available then look for different spaces for people to get together.
