After 5pm and before 7am permit holders may park in any non-reserved space.
Parking permits are used on the Texas State campus to reduce the number of cars driving through central campus and to regulate traffic so that pedestrian areas are safe and usable.
Students who live on campus at Texas State are allowed to purchase on-campus parking spots near their residence hall or apartment. On campus permits are intended for students to leave their car in one area and are not meant to be used as a way to park near class buildings. For farther residence halls and apartments, the Bobcat Shuttle system is provided to make all areas of campus accessible.
Students who commute to campus are able to use parking spots on the perimeter of campus and use the Bobcat Shuttle system to get to central campus and to class buildings. Commuter permits are not intended to be used as a way to park near class buildings.
