As of Fall 2024 UPD is now the main enforcer of Texas State's parking regulations. They are the ones handing out tickets, booting cars, and towing cars that are violating the parking regulations.
UPD is also the place to report any crimes on campus, which includes vehicle-related crime.
UPD has begun the Bobcat Safe Rides program which allows students to be picked up from the San Marcos campus and be dropped off within the Safe Ride limits in San Marcos.
To use the Bobcat Safe Rides program, you can download the Bobcat Safe Rides App.

Students will be picked up only on TXST property within San Marcos.
Rides can be requested to be dropped off either on or off campus within limit.
Students will not be picked up off campus unless approved.
Rides will not be provided for special events, such as Football games (while the shuttle service is operating)
Students will not be taken to the Square or bars.

Monday: 8pm - 2am Tuesday: 8pm - 2am
Wednesday: 8pm - 2am Thursday: 8pm - 3am
Friday: 8pm - 3am Saturday: 8pm - 3am
Sunday: 8pm - 12am
