Each year, our Scouts perform their duty to their community by participating in a variety of Service Projects.
Service Projects in recent years have included:
Adopt A Site with Cook County Forest Preserve
Charter Organization Clean Up Days
Animal Welfare League Item Collections
Little Free Library Book Collections
Food Pantry Collections
Each project has special requirements and all need adult help and supervision. Some projects may require work gloves, safety glasses, garbage bags, etc
These are always exceptionally rewarding opportunities for our young Scouts!
Adopt-A-Site volunteers with the Forest Preserves of Cook County make a commitment to visit their site at least eight times between April and November to clean litter, paying special attention to the summer months when people are out in larger numbers. Pack 341 volunteers monthly at the Midlothian Reservoir (167th & Cicero Ave). This is the eighth year we have committed to this ongoing service project with the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
