Oak Forest Parades–the pack participates in community parades like the Fleadh, I am an American Day, and Christmas parade every year. When we are planning to participate in a parade, we will let the pack know all the details beforehand.
National Night Out- the pack participates in the community National Night Out program by opening the evening with flags and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Oak Forest Holiday Tree Decoration–the pack decorates ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree at Oak Forest’s City Hall before the Christmas parade. Anyone in the pack that is available, meets to decorate the tree.
Christmas Caroling–the pack annually goes to Bethshan and sings Christmas carols to persons with developmental disabilities. For more on the organization, visit http://bethshan.org/ We also perform an annual neighborhood Christmas caroling during our December Pack Meeting.
Chartered Organization Support–our Chartered organization, the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, supports our program. They do a lot for us, and we want to give back. From time to time, we’ll have clean up days with them, or events where we help their facilities. Announcements are made beforehand throughout the Pack.
Scout Sunday–celebrated the first Sunday of February every year. Check with our religious coordinator or your church for more information on any upcoming events.
Adopt A Site - Pack 341 volunteers monthly at the Midlothian Reservoir (167th & Cicero Ave) with the Forest Preserves of Cook County to clean litter, paying special attention to the summer months when people are out in larger numbers. This is the fifth year we have committed to this ongoing service project with the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
