Many thanks for hosting a student in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program!!
Your care and generosity are at the core of what makes this program run, but we want to make sure that you are not unduely burdened by red tape or providers asking you to cover the costs of health care for your student. Your student has very comprehensive care, and should be able to obtain coverage at any provider. However, it will be important to keep these things in mind:
Please to not give your personal information to the provider. The will assume that you will be part of the student's funds, and they may hound you for payment
The student may have to pay out of pocket, but they will then be able to file a claim, and are typically reimbursed within 3 weeks
Rotarians are available to help, and your YEO espeically should be the point person should any adult need to sign forms for the provider.
