• AHA BHA

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, products that containing AHA BHA should be avoided. If you still want to use it, choose a very low concentration, which is below 2%. So, instead of a chemical exfoliator, you can just use a physical exfoliator to keep your skin clean, bright, and remove dead skin cells. However, if you still want to use products that contain AHA, BHA, we still recommend consulting an obstetrician first.

• Glycolic Acid

Although no studies have evaluated the effects of using glycolic acid on the developing fetus. However, low doses of glycolic acid (1-3 mg/cm2) can cause erythema (redness of the skin) and eschar (flaking of dead skin). Meanwhile, use at high doses (5-7 mg/cm2) can cause redness, edema, and necrotic ulceration .

• Centella
