Onset (bolus): 30 seconds
Concentration: 500 mg/ 50 mL
Starting Dose Range: 5 - 83 mcg/kg/min
Titration Dose Increment: 5 - 10 mcg/kg/min
Rate of Titration: 5 - 20 minutes
Maximum Dose: 83 mcg/kg/min
Maximum Peripheral Dose: n/a
Central/Peripheral: either (large gauge IV preferred in upper extremity)
Note:
contraindicated in egg or soy allergies
change IV tubing and bottles q12h during a continuous infusion
