Welcome to the Critical Care IV Infusions Site for commonly used IV medications in the St. Michael's Emergency Department.
This website aims to provide a quick reference for staff at the bedside to aid in preparation, administration and titration of commonly used critical care infusions in the Emergency Department.
Please note that this website has been cross-checked with current protocols at St. Michael's Hospital and launched as of August 22nd 2024. A subsequent update has occurred in June 2025 with edits to Labetalol titration and respective references.
It can be used as a resource in conjunction with the current organizational IV monographs for the respective drugs, located via the Unity Health Toronto intranet.
This website will be updated every 6 months to ensure accuracy of information. Next update will occur December 2025.
