When you picture "Hot Girl Summer", you are likely imagining bikinis, pool parties, manicures, and bottomless iced coffees- and hey, I'm here for that (except the bikinis- I prefer to swim modest)! But this summer, I'm focusing on something different- something holier. This summer, Hot Girl Summer is meeting Jesus. I'm having a physical, mental, spiritual, emotional glow up- not for a boy, not for my friends. For myself and for God!
So, I decided to remix the season. This is my take on "Proverbs 31, Modernized"- where beauty meets righteousness, rest meets motivation, and "Soft Girl Energy" is wrapped in God's love!
Let's rewind. Proverbs 31 describes a strong, wise, resourceful, clothed with dignity, and faithful woman. She takes care of herself, her family, her business, and her heart-- all while walking with God.
She's not perfect-- but she's purposeful
Not stressed-- but steady
Not flashy-- but full of fire
Now, tell me that's not the ultimate "It-Girl with a Dose of Holiness"
"She gets up while it is still night..." (Proverbs 31:15)
I'm not waking up early to conquer the world. I'm waking up to center my soul and praise God! Whether it's through a morning devotional, prayer journaling, or simply trusting that God will speak to you through your daily Bible reading, this is a great way to start your morning by praising God!
My Holy Morning Vibe:
Lo-fi worship or Gospel playlist πΆ
Quick Bible verse of the day π
Deep breaths + gratitude π
No phone for the first 30 minutes of your morning π΅
"She is clothed with strength and dignity..." (Proverbs 31:25)
Soft girl energy isn't about being passive- it's about knowing yourself so deeply that you don't need to force anything. This summer season, I'm learning to know my worth and rest in it, always have peace, and let God open doors that I don't have to push!
Affirmation for the season:
I don't chase, I align βοΈ
I don't perform, I show up π
I don't compare, I grow π
"She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." (Proverbs 31:27)
This summer, I'm curating everything-- my space, my playlists, my group chats, my conversations, the list goes on. Which means I am cutting all negative energy out of my life. Holy Girl Summer means saying no to chaos and yes to calm. I'm allowed to recharge. Rest is productive. Rest is Holy.
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." (Proverbs 31:26)
This is the summer of softness-- not because I'm fragile, but because I'm being refined. I want to speak life, extend grace, and be a gentle light in a chaotic world.
Ways I'm growing softly:
Bible journaling outdoors (in the park, on my back patio) π³
Speaking kindly to and of myself βΊοΈ
Listening more, reacting less (Not drawing attention to myself) π
Letting God guide my next move βοΈ
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised" (Proverbs 31:30)
Yes, I love a good skincare routine, makeup tutorial, and cute outfits with shoes, but the real glow? It's spiritual. It's peace that isn't interrupted when life gets difficult. It's an unfiltered joy that spreads!
This summer, I'm choosing:
Faith > fear βοΈ
Peace > pressure ποΈ
Inner beauty > outer perfection π
Being a woman of faith doesn't mean giving up beauty, confidence, or fun. It means anchoring all of that in purpose. It's asking God to guide your glow-up. It's redefining what it means to be "that girl"-- not by the world's standards, but Gods!Β
So yes, I'm living my Hot Girl Summer
But she reads her Bible
She stays hydrated
She guards her heart
She praises God and wears lip gloss
This is Hot + Holy Girl Summer-- and you're invited!! π
