Our Services

This service is focused on issues impacting students’ academic progress or social emotional wellbeing. Goals are developed in collaboration with family members and teachers to support student resilience. Therapy sessions typically last six to eight weeks. Often, we meet with students a handful of times to help solve a short term issue or teach specific academic, social and/or coping skills. However, if we identify a need for regular therapy sessions with a student, we will seek parent permission.

We reach all students through regular classroom lessons. These lessons focus on academic skills, social-emotional development and bullying. We also teach about important topics related to healthy living, safety and personal responsibility.

We offer counseling services such as organizational skills, executive functioning skills, planning for higher education, financial aid/scholarship planning, and other as-needed career counseling services.

We support students who experience a significant setback or traumatic event. Our team responds quickly in order to provide immediate support. Our department assists with the execution of safety protocols in each of our buildings. Please reach out if your child and/or family needs additional crisis support.

CARE Team is a comprehensive approach gathering the expertise of multiple staff members, in order to design educational, medical, and behavioral interventions and supports. The goal is to increase students' success and to provide a referral source for social work, counseling, and special education. CARE Team meetings are held once per month.

We can help families meet their needs including school supplies, clothing, food, community resources and mental health referrals. We care so much about supporting AL families, we have a whole page devoted to this topic.
