COVID-19 UPDATES:
COVID-19 UPDATES:
- Emotional Support Services: Counselors and social workers at AL will be offering Video Counseling Sessions starting Wednesday 3/25/20. Sessions are available from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Friday, depending on availability. Email your campus' counselor or social worker to schedule a video chat. This service is available to families (adults) and to students.
- Support Groups: We are one big AL family. We are looking into starting a Support Group for families who want to connect, communicate, offer support and problem solve together live on a group video chat. Please email your campus counselor or social worker if you are interested in joining. AL Family Support Group will begin meeting in the first week of April.
- Food/Nutrition: **STILL AVAILABLE DURING THE SUMMER** Grocery sacks, Harvesters "Backsnacks", and prepared lunch/breakfast bags are all available at Académie Lafayette's Armour Campus on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am-12pm. Please contact us if you need the food to be provided at another time or if you need it to be delivered, depending on availability. School supplies are also available upon request.
- If your family's financial situation has changed, we encourage you to apply for the free and reduced lunch program through Académie Lafayette. If you are approved, you will become eligible for Pandemic EBT (P-EBT). This is a temporary SNAP benefit, also known as food stamps, that is available to all families who have children receiving free and reduced lunch. The Department of Social Services will contact eligible families once P-EBT becomes available. More information can be found HERE. Keep a look out for a future email from Peggy Arians, from Académie Lafayette, with a link to the free and reduced application.
