Healing Cortland is a community-wide initiative to reduce opioid-related overdose deaths in Cortland County. Healing Cortland brings together partners from across our community and region, along with those directly impacted, to implement effective strategies to save lives.

Tobacco Prevention
Tobacco Free Zone works to foster environments supportive of policies that reinforce the tobacco-free norm in our communities. Through community engagement and youth action (Reality Check), we promote local changes that reduce the impact of tobacco use and nicotine addiction.

Suicide Prevention
SPEAK UP Cortland is the Cortland County suicide prevention coalition. SPEAK UP stands for: Suicide Prevention, Education, Awareness, Knowledge, Understanding, and Perseverance. Follow SPEAK UP on Facebook for the latest updates on community events related to suicide prevention.
Coalition Meetings:
The coalition meets the 4th Wednesday of each month and is open to community members. Community members are encouraged to attend trainings and events.

Adult Immunization Coalition
The Adult Immunization Coalition of Cortland County works to increase vaccination rates in adult members of the community, including COVID-19 and Flu. The coalition identifies, implements, and monitors the effectiveness of one or more evidence based intervention each year.
Coalition Meetings:
The coalition meets each quarter and is open to community members. The coalition is recruiting community members to serve as vaccine ambassadors.
