The proposed definitions of "Transgender Ideology" and "Transgender Ideology-Inspired Violent Extremism" are absurd and frightening. They not only target transgender Americans but also sweep up "anyone who argues that stripping away transgender rights contributes to violence or an existential threat to transgender people... By this logic, nearly every transgender rights activist or organization -- merely for pointing out the tangible harm that comes from losing rights -- would fall under the label of extremist."
