Activity: “Because / But / So / However Challenge”
In pairs, tell a short real past experience (e.g., a funny accident, a trip, a school memory).
The other classmate retells the story and try to connect sentences using at least 3 connectors.
Teacher gives “Connector Cards” (with words like so, however, besides, finally) that students must use while speaking.
Example:
A: I went to the beach last weekend.

Sometimes we ingnore or just simply don't care who carries out an action. When this happens, the typical order of a sentence needs to be changed.
Typically, we speak following this sequence:
(Question Word + Auxiliary) Subject + Verb + Complement (?)
However, this order was broken in the questions above.
For instance:
Think of Jose. Jose was one of the builders who worked in the raising of the Corte de Justicia Centroamericana building, more than 2 centuries ago.
Do you know anything about Jose? Certaintly, not. Do you know the result of his work? Certaintly, yes. The Corte de Justicia Centroamericana edifice is now the San Luis Gonzaga High School edifice. Does this ring any bell? Surely, yes!
So... what happens if we do not know the suject or "doer" of an action? or if this "doer" is unimportant or ignored?

The story of the Giant Chicken
Yesterday I saw a giant chicken on the courtyard and ran towards it. I took a photo of it and shared the photo with my friends. My friends published it on social media and had so many likes. The chicken got scared and rean aways because of the flashlights. It ran to the streets and car ran over it and it exploted. I felt so bad for the chicken and deleted the post. But it went even more viral because of the death of the chicken. The chicken came back to life. He was so furious and started attacking us. I woke up from my sleep and I was so scared. But the dream was real, looked outside the window and the chicken started a revolution.

I went to China and saw a dragon, because I’m the best hunter and I want his head. I wielded my powerful sword and faced the dragon in a fierce battle. The dragon threw a fireball at me and exploded my arms. I continued to battle with my health and strength. Later, I found out the dragon married the giant chicken, and together they conquered the whole world.

I went to China and saw a dragon. It starts to spit fire, and a man was riding it. People were so scare because of the dragon and starts hiding away. Then, he starts to destroy everything. Yesterday, I saw a cow riding a skateboard down the hallway and when the cow got close I saw a lizard on its head. suddently It rained beans. And the cow was feeling happy. And the lizard and the cow were running under the rain. And then they took shelter under a fallen tree near the river. The cow had a pink tutu. Its name is Lola. She went to her house with her friends. They ate chocolate cake and watched movies. Her friends are a horse and a rabbit. They went to do trick with the skateboards. Lola and her friends have sunglasses and funny hats. A rainbow spiral of chocolate appeared.

The elephant at the library
Yesterday I saw an elephant eating pizza in the library and it was reading a book of magic, something like Harry Potter. Then it dropped the pizza on the book. After that the elephant was sad because the it was his favorite book. The elephant looked for something to clean it up. Because the cleaner was not in the high school. And the elephant could clean the book but the secretary found it and she asked what happened. The elephant said nothing happened to the book. The secretary pieces of pizza. The elephant answered very sadly because it stained the book but the secretary told the elephant to pay for the book. The elephant was sad but agreed and paid for the book. And Emily was so excited for the elephant!!!

Yesterday I saw a robot teaching math and giving homework to the teachers. The teachers weren't happy with the robot and started a plan against it. The principal was very angry because the robot was the favorite teacher. The teachers were angry too and started a war but the robot had planned to attack the school but the robot stopped because he fell in love with a teacher. The name of the teacher was Ricahrd and they had mini robots. They escaped to save the baby robots. But the teachers found them. They ran to another place and saved themselves.They lived happily ever after, Richard, Sonny and their children.

Last night I had a dream with a person with superpowers. The person was my mom and her superpower is the flying sandal. When I woke up my mom was very angry. Because I had bad grades. Then I ate a Peppa Pig soup but my mom threw it to the air. I noticed that I was still dreaming, and I started to fly away from my house to a secret lair because I am a villain but my mom fought me and she beated me. Finally I woke up and smile. ♡

Last night, I had a dream I saw a person with superpowers.
Kurt Cobain arrived and gave him a bowl of spaghetti that made him stronger.
I appeared and stole the bowl of spaghetti and I ate it, but it didn’t give me superpowers. Instead of that it gave me diarrhea.
But the person with superpowers had a mystery object in his heart. It was a sword and I took it from his chest but the person didn’t die and he took another sword from his chest and then we started to fight with the swords.
I died and woke up.
When I woke up, I realized that this dream was a scene of a movie that I was looking while I was falling asleep.

A Tall Adventure
Yesterday, I saw a giraffe drinking soda at the high school snack shop and also buying chips and coffee and then it went home. Then it went to bed to sleep. When it woke up and did his homework. After he went to the moon in a spaceship. Then, he played Wii with his friends. They saw an alien dancing. After that, he went to eat with his friends. They invited the alien too. After, they all planned to destroy the Earth and create a new planet that is dominated by giraffes but the alien didn't like the idea. After the alien presented a new plan. It invited the giraffe to dance. They danced reggeaton the entire night. And the next day they were sore for dancing so much. The End

Last week I went to a concert to enjoy my favorite band with my friends, after we went to a party, then we went to eat and have some drinks. After that I invited my friends to listen the band in my house, but they fell asleep. I wake them up screaming, "there is a mouse in here". They started running all over the place.

Last week, I went to a concert of my favorite singer. After that, I took a picture with him, and he signed my t-shirt. The best part was that I saw Kanye West singing with the people. I was very excited and I ent to tell my friends. I recorded a long video in the concert and screamed a lot in the video, my friends laughed for the video, and they invited me to another concert.
