I notice that in these versions there is a button to access 'TL instructions' with a loop to 'SL Instructions'.
Are we going to be able to emulate this function through the single point URL ? ( maybe through prepared documents )
Good news on the instructions question, and the details are in my next message: yes, it can be done through the single User Manual URL
we can emulate the TL/SL instructions through the single User Manual address. The old GT5L files let you click the instruction panel to cycle between SL and TL instructions. The rebuilt files dropped that, because the standard uses a fixed English phone panel plus the User Manual button. There are two ways to bring it back.
Option 1: two instruction pages behind the one address. The manual page would have SL and TL (and TLR for logographic) sections, with a switch on the page. The template would open it with a language tag on the end of the address (for example …/user-manual?lang=TL), matching the layer the learner is on. One address to maintain, and the instruction text is prepared documents, as you suggested.
Option 2: restore the click-to-cycle on the phone panel as well. The panel text would be fed from a prepared document, the way the old placeholders were.
I'd do Option 1, and add Option 2 only if you miss the panel cycling. I haven't changed anything yet; it's your call, and it can wait until the manual page exists.
