Before Getting Started

Check out these documents to better understand how CTE has streamlined business administration coursework.

Secondary Pathways - Colorado State Plan website

Colorado is providing state courses and competencies for CTE classes in approved programs.

These documents were developed to help you build and evaluate your program. They need to be uploaded in the program approval.

You might also need to upload your syllabus - we are looking to see your standards and competencies.

BE PREPARED:

- Have the list of classes planned out and in front of you. There is a drop down menu to choose from, but you will need to remember if the class is semester-long, A/B, etc. (i.e. don’t pick an A class unless there is a B to match).
- Have all document uploads ready, including articulation agreements.
- Look through the program first to complete anything you don't have before starting to type.
- Have employment demand and occupational information ready - you can use this state data and/or local information.

REVIEW:

Check the boxes for FBLA and DECA if your school has both CTSOs.
Check appropriate boxes if you have advanced credit, such as concurrent enrollment.
Remember that academic credit means you are getting an embedded academic credit for the CTE class, i.e. accounting.

DON'T FORGET:

You can only use one document for each upload, so you might need to merge documents if they have more than one artifact.
