Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) leverages workforce and education systems so that each learner has quality CTE experiences leading to lifelong career success. Our mission is to ensure a thriving state economy by providing relevant and rigorous education that is connected, responsive and real.  CTE is divided into six industry sectors, including Business and Marketing (BAM). Each industry sector works with Colorado teachers to provide quality educational programs emphasizing core academic content, Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness (PWR) competencies, technical skills, and seamless transition to further education or employment.

CAREER AND TECHNICAL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

DECA is a national organization for secondary students enrolled in Marketing Education. DECA is an inner-curricular, student-centered organization designed as an integral part of the classroom instructional program of marketing education that motivates students to learn marketing competencies preparing students to be skilled, employable workers in the field of marketing. 

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a national career and technical education student organization for secondary students preparing for careers in business or careers in business education. FBLA Collegiate is an organization on the move for postsecondary and collegiate students enrolled or interested in a variety of business programs.

Why Choose High School of Business?

High School of Business, created by the MBA Research & Curriculum Center, is a college-inspired series of six courses to provide a well-rounded business education to high school students. Courses include marketing, management, finance, and economics. Students will get challenging, hands-on experiences that will prepare them for post-secondary education and real-world application of the skills they learn. Teachers receive ongoing professional development supports throughout teaching the six courses.
