As you begin your year, it is a great time to get a pulse on your Leadership Team and the work of this team. The Role of the MTSS Team is to:
- Lead by removing barriers for Charter-wide implementation of MTSS
- Design and customize Charter-wide implementation of MTSS
- Facilitate implementation of both internal and external communication plans
- Support Charter-wide MTSS Implementation Plan including: establish vision and mission, ensure visibility and political support, analyze effectiveness of district-wide initiatives, and allocate and align resources (i.e., materials, professional development and coaching infrastructure)
- Design and implement Charter-wide MTSS: Professional Development; Coaching and Technical Assistance; Communication and Visibility and Research/Evaluation
- Ask team members to independently read the Article (this can be done prior to the meeting)
- After reading, assist team members to underline 5 words or concepts that are deemed “most important”
- List words on a chart paper
- Together, write a summary statement or two using as many words as possible that relates to your work as a team. Keep this summary sentence posted during future meetings to assist with identifying the goals and purpose of the team in
