We are providing free access to ECATS because we want to deliver on the idea that MTSS is an efficient and effective school improvement framework. In order for this to happen, LEA and school teams deserve easy and effortless access to early warning system data with various built-in options for data display and reporting.
There are three main goals of ECATS MTSS:
It is imperative the districts and schools examine their Core Health. The data sources that most accurately allow teams to gauge the health of their core are student attendance rates, behavior, and academic achievement data.
In ECATS, the early warning indicators will show for individual students. They will “roll up” at the group, class, grade, school level. * This is NOT a new concept/behavior - same information that you have previously gathered will be gathered for you!
The early warning system in ECATS allows for effective problem solving around the whole school, grade levels, and sub-groups.
ECATS method: This is the method that will be used to problem solve around our Core Support.
**When we provide the right tool (ECATS) for teams to use as they examine and determine the health of their core, they will be able to respond and make informed decisions on how to best strengthen their core support by adjusting master schedules if needed, reallocate resources when necessary and potentially make adjustments to instruction, curriculum and the environment.

One of the best ways to see how much you have accomplished this year, is to complete the Facilitated Assessment of MTSS - School Level (FAM-S). If you completed the FAM-S last year, you will now have comparison data for two consecutive years, with graphs to see and share your growth. The data will also allow teams to see their areas for improvement for action planning in 2020-2021.
With your team, complete the FAM-S.
We want to give you a Shout Out in our upcoming Newsletters. Please continue to share pictures, videos, articles, and/or other information about the great work happening at your schools. If you would like to be featured, please submit information in the Highlight Reel Submission Form.
