Energy Blast is a Primary Power Set for Blasters and Corruptors and a Secondary Power Set for Defenders.
You can tap into raw force, and direct it at your will. This power can be used to damage foes and push them away from you, and often send them sprawling. The source of this power may be magical, biological, some form of strange or alien technology, or you may not even know how you do it.
Some Energy Blast features require an attack roll. In all such cases, you are making a ranged attack that you are proficient with, and you add your Dexterity Modifier to the roll. You also add your Dexterity Modifier to the damage.
Some of your Energy Blast features indicate that they cause Pushback. Whenever you use such a feature that uses an attack roll and add at least one Endurance Die to the damage, your target will be pushed 15 feet away from you. If the attack roll is a critical hit, the distance is increased to 30 feet and the target must make a Dexterity Saving Throw or be knocked prone. If you use a Pushback feature that prompts your target to make a Saving Throw which fails, the target will be knocked away from the source of the effect by 15 feet. Pushback only affects creatures Large or smaller.
If your Pushback shoves a creature into an obstacle, such as a wall or a Huge or larger creature, it suffers 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every five whole feet it would have otherwise traveled. Divide the remaining distance by five and round down. Certain features may also have additional rules around Pushback.
You can use your Action to make a ranged attack and send a blast of pure energy that deals force damage equal to 2d8 plus your Dexterity Modifier against a creature you can see within 80 feet.
You can use Power Blast at 1st level, Power Burst at 2nd level if Electrical Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 4th level if it is your Secondary Power Set, and Sniper Blast at 3rd level if Energy Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 6th level if it is your Secondary Power Set.
You can release a wave of energy that can strike multiple creatures. Your Power Surge features deal less damage than your Power Bolt features, but more reliably knock down foes and smash them into objects. You can use Energy Torrent at 1st level and Power Push at 7th level if Energy Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 11th level if it is your Secondary Power Set.
At 4th level if Energy Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 8th level if it is your Secondary Power Set, you can take a moment to focus your senses. Roll at least one Endurance Die. You can add the result to every Energy Blast attack and damage roll you make until the end of your next turn. Using this feature does not cost an Action but you can only do it on your turn.
You can build up energy into a single point and release it all at once. This energy can be released at a location you choose, including right on top of you. You can use Explosive Blast at 10th level if Energy Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 14th level if it is your Secondary Power Set, and Nova at 12th level if Energy Blast is your Primary Power Set or at 15th level if it is your Secondary Power Set.
