You twist the forces of the universe to do your bidding. You strike your foes down with blasts of fire, entomb them in ice, infect them with radiation, or curse them with pure darkness. As your foe is weakened, your Scourge ability kicks in, increasing your damage further. You can even impart a portion of your twisted power to a friendly creature to protect it from harm, heal it, or increase its effectiveness in combat.
Starting at 1st level, you excel at inflicting harm against those already weakened. Whenever you use any Primary or Secondary Power Set feature that deals damage to a creature that has less than one half of its maximum hit points, you add your Proficiency Bonus to the damage roll. In addition, any attack roll made against a creature that has less than one half of its maximum hit points will be a critical hit on a roll of 18 or higher. Finally, if you use any Power Set feature that deals damage which results in your target being reduced to zero hit points and becoming incapacitated, that creature automatically gains one Death Saving Throw failure.
