This allows to specify only a specific area or location that employees are allowed to punch using Timeclock Attendance app.
Please take note this feature is available only in version 3 and above.
Follow these steps on how to use geo-fencing feature.
Adding Sites
1. Navigate to Sites menu in the left sidebar
2. In the top right, click the Add Site button
3. Site page
1. Search Field. Enter the address of the site, please just select the suggested address
2. Hand Tool. Click this tool when you want to drag the map area or use this when you drag the polygon
3. Polygon Tool. Click this when specifying an area that employees are allowed to punch.
3.1. Just click in the area by connecting the dots. After that, the area will be shaded according to the selected color palette.
4. Delete Tool. Select an area that you have created and click this delete tool to remove the area
5. Rotate Tool. Click this if you want to rotate the map
6. 3D view. Click this if you want view the map as 3D or flat view. It depends, if google have a 3D data on the selected location
7. Zoom in. Click this if you want to zoom in the map
8. Zoom out. Click this if you want to zoom out the map
9&10. Map view.
11. Color Pallete. Select a polygon that you want to format then select a color of your choice
12. Site Name Field. Please enter a site name(this field is required)
13. Site Code Field. Please enter a site code name
14. Add Site Button. Click this to add the site
Click back again to sites navigation menu to view the lists of sites
Enable Mobile Punch and Geofencing of the selected employee
1. Navigate to Employees menu in the left sidebar
2. Point your mouse in the employees avatar/photo then hit click
3. Click the Employment Information header to expand the details
4. Assign a site with a created geofence for the employee. Please take note, mobile app will automatically detect the nearest site location based on the phone location
5. Click the Attendance header to expand the details
6. Toggle to ON the Allow Mobile Timeclock
7. Toggle to ON to enforce geofencing
8. Click Update Employee to save the settings
