FAQs

1. Employee punches show up under different name.

It would typically happen if employee clock ID does not match with the clock ID you have for this employee on the server. This can also happen if employee's fingerprints are registered incorrectly with another user in the time clock device. When user punches in/out please check the name and clock ID displayed on the time clock screen. If this clock ID and name is not correct then you registered employee fingerprints with someone else's name. If this clock ID and name are correct then make sure same clock ID is not assigned to any user on the server.

2. How to download attendance logs using USB Flash Memory Stick

You must have admin privileges to be able to download attendance logs from time clock device. Insert USB memory stick into the time clock USB port.

For Fingerprint Readers: On time clock device select Menu->Dn/Upload->U Disc Download->Download Attlog

For Face Readers: On time clock device select Menu->Download->Attendance Data

These steps will download a attlog.dat file into USB flash memory drive.

You can now upload this attendance file to your online account by logging into your online account-> Time clocks-> select Import manually option on top right corner.

3. How to Reactivate a Terminated Employee

To reactivate any terminated employee, select 'Employees' from the menu, search for the terminated employee name in emp. Click on 'Time clock view' for the employee list (1), Click on 'Synch with Clocks' button.

4. I am locked out of the time clock, time clock menu asks for admin login details.

Login to your online account and update designated employees(any employee who has admin privilege on time clock , or create a new user with admin privilege) password, synch employee with the clock. Once employee synch completes you should be able to unlock admin lock screen using newly setup employee ID and password.

5 . Time clock does not send attendance data to the online account.

Please make sure time clock is online by logging into your account and checking time clock status under time clocks section.

If time clock is online then make sure the date and time on the time clock is correct. If date and time is correct then follow these steps to sync attendance with the server:

a) You may need to download attendance manually into a USB flash drive as explained in # 2 above.

b) Login to your account click on time clocks, click 'Import manually' button. Select the time clock from the list, specify start date for the import (optionally specify end date for the import), choose the att log.dat file downloaded into USB flash drive as explained in #2 above. Click Submit.

c) In time clock device, go to Menu->System ->Data Mng-> Delete Att log

d) Reboot the time clock

6 . Time Clock false positives

There is 1:N threshold setting under system settings in the time clock, this setting actually allows you relax or restrict employee's fp match threshold at the transaction level. The lower the value the more relaxed algorithm is. You can test with this setting to some lower value than 35 (default) but in no case it should be increased more than 45. Also note too low value may cause employee FP matches to be mixed up also. 35 is ideal setting that works perfectly with almost all installations, but in exceptional cases this can be set to lower value depending upon the situation.
