Within the framework of the European Climate Change Ready (CCR) program of 11-25 March 2019, teacher education in Slovenia (C4) took place.
The trainees visited the Sinja Gorica refuse collection station at Bhrinka and were informed about the operation of the plant with regard to the recycling of waste and water purification and then the store where the retailers and retailers are exposed for sale.
Osmana Cankaja Bhrnika, a Slovenian school collaborating and planning the travel program, was then briefed by a representative of the NGO "Ecologists without Borders" on the organization's work and methods of zero waste of products and items were presented.
Another interesting visit was in Brestanica where after the tour at the Rajhensburg Castle the trainees visited Krsko the power plant where the manager of the educational programs that are being implemented there with the help of interactive tables and experiential workshops informed about how to produce the energy and responded to many questions.
Also, the visit to Lake Bled and the Zero Waste Hotel was entertaining and educational as the trainees came into contact with nature and were briefed on the operation of the first hotel in Slovenia to apply the zero-waste method.
Finally, the training week ends with a visit to the Piran, a holiday resort located on Slovenia's only beach, with a tour of the city and the Salina Nature Park, where there are salts produced by old methods and without the use of machinery and the wetland that has Natura 2000.
The project coordinators discussed organizational issues and voted the logo that Portugal proposed to be the logo of the program.
